Associate (Equity Compliance Unit), Takeovers & Mergers
Your role is:
- Analyse and evaluate proposals for compliance with National Development Policy (NDP) requirements under the Foreign Investment Committee (FIC) Guidelines
- Undertake follow-up on the compliance with conditions of approval.
You will be accountable for:
- Analysing and processing corporate proposals in accordance to FIC Guidelines
- Ensuring accuracy of information and providing appropriate and consistent recommendation
- Liaising with FIC, Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) or other relevant Ministries/government agencies on policy issues pertaining to achieving the Bumiputera agenda
- Liaising with corporate advisers and attending to public enquiries relating to submissions made under FIC Guidelines
- Conducting timely follow-up on compliance with conditions of approval
- Attending to other matters, including preparing reports, updating database and other special assignments, as and when required
You should have:
- A strong first degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, economics, law or other relevant qualification
- At least two (2) years’ experience in corporate finance, legal, accounting or capital market
- Strong analytical skills and able to think critically and work independently
- Strong oral and written communication skills
