Assistant Head (Equity Compliance Unit), Takeovers & Mergers
Your role is:
- Review the evaluation of submissions made under the FIC Guidelines to ensure that the objectives of the National Development Policy (“NDP”) are met
- Leading projects relating to meeting the objectives of the “NDP”) (i.e. complying with the Bumiputra and Foreign equity requirement)
- Liaising with relevant Ministries/Government Agencies on policy matters
You will be accountable for:
- Ensuring timely and effective evaluation of applications under the FIC guidelines
- Supervising the monitoring of compliance with conditions of approval
- Leading the continuous review of the FIC Guidelines and issues pertaining to meeting the NDP requirements
- Leading projects pertaining to Bumiputera issues
- Attending to other matters, i.e. administrative matters including assessing the performance of subordinates, reviewing reports and other special assignments as and when required
You should have:
- A strong first degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or equivalent professional qualification; a post-graduate degree will be an advantage
- At least eight (8) years’ working experience in legal, corporate finance, banking or audit, including five (5) years’ direct experience in corporate finance or the capital market
- Technical knowledge in corporate finance and/or the capital market and be well versed with Malaysian and foreign take-overs laws and regulations
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Good knowledge of trends and challenges in corporate finance or the capital market
- Excellent team and project management skill and be able to work independently
- Strong oral and written communication skills
