CPE-Approved CD-ROMS

As part of the measures to address concerns on the availability of CPE courses, particularly outside the Klang Valley, CPE CD-ROMs are being developed to meet the need. The introduction of approved CD-ROMs is intended to make training more flexible and accessible, especially for individuals who cannot fit into a set timetable of attending courses in the traditional way.

The Guidelines for CPE-approved CD-ROMs will also be released together with the approved CD-ROMS to ensure the effectiveness of the mode of learning.

Upon purchase of the approved CD-ROM, licensed representatives will be issued a CPE docket as proof of purchase, valid only for their next licence renewal.

• To ensure proper monitoring and control, the following will apply:
  • A maximum of 10 CPE points obtained via purchase of CD-ROMs be allowed per licence renewal; and
  • Only one CPE docket per CD-ROM title can be used for licence renewal and the same CPE-Approved CD-ROMS title is NOT applicable for subsequent licence renewals.
• These guidelines shall be subject to review and amendment by the SIDC from time to time.
