The SC participates in international regulatory organisations and in relevant international initiatives which provide important avenues for Malaysia to make appropriate contributions in the shaping of international securities regulation. The SC currently chairs the ASEAN Capital Market Forum, which comprises key ASEAN securities market regulators.
The SC is a member of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and assists the government of Malaysia in its work in international fora such as the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
