There are currently 174 member agencies in IOSCO which have assembled and resolved–
The SC joined IOSCO in 1993 and was elected to chair the Emerging Markets Committee's (EMC) Working Group on the Regulation of Secondary Markets in 1994. The SC also held the chair of the EMC from 1996 to 1999. During the 25th Annual Conference of IOSCO in Sydney, Australia in May 2000, the SC Chairman was elected to the Chair of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee (APRC) and re-elected for a further two-year term (during the 2002 IOSCO Annual Conference in Istanbul, Turkey) until February 2004. The 2002 IOSCO Annual Conference also saw the establishment of the IOSCO Islamic Capital Market Task Force, which is also chaired by the SC Chairman. The SC has also been, or is, a member of various committees and task forces of IOSCO, such as the Executive Committee, Technical Committee Hedge Funds Task Force, Drafting Group for the Objectives and Principles of Securities Regulation, Committee on the Implementation of IOSCO Principles and Internet Task Force. In addition, the SC is a member of a joint initiative established by the Technical Committee of IOSCO and the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems of the Bank for International Settlements, namely the Task Force on Securities Settlement Systems.
