The Shariah Advisory Council (SAC) of the SC conducts Shariah compliance review on securities listed on Bursa Malaysia.
To further develop and promote the Islamic capital market in Malaysia, the Shariah compliance review process have been extended to include securities at pre-IPO stage.
From 1 October 2004, prospective issuers may apply to the SC to have such reviews conducted.

Processing Fee
There is a processing fee (pdf) for a Shariah-compliance review at the pre-IPO stage.
Disclosure in the Prospectus
Shariah compliance review is made upon request by the issuer (voluntary) and the decision to disclose the result of the Shariah review to the public is at the discretion of the companies.
How to Apply?
The application for the SC to conduct a Shariah-compliance review for pre-IPO securities must be made through the applicant's corporate adviser and submitted to:
