Deputy General Manager & Head, Trusts & Investment Management

Your role is:

To lead and manage the evaluation of proposals relating to the issuance of securities by collective investment schemes (CIS), vetting, clearance and registration of prospectuses and deeds and vetting of fund reports, promotional materials and advertisements, to ensure the orderly regulation of the industry

You are accountable for:

  • Planning, strategising and directing the management of the department’s deliverables
  • Reviewing and supervising the evaluation of and recommendations for all CIS proposals, the vetting and clearance of prospectuses and deeds, the post-vetting of disclosures in prospectuses and funds reports and the post-vetting of promotional materials
  • Reviewing and making recommendations pertaining to establishment of schemes by new entrants
  • Approving the registration and lodgement of prospectuses and deeds
  • Leading, contributing and assisting in the formulation/review of policies, guidelines and product development pertaining to CIS and operations of the CIS industry and make recommendations and implement such policies for improvements/changes.

You should have:

  • A strong first degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or equivalent professional qualification; a post-graduate degree will be an advantage
  • At least ten (10) years’ working experience in legal, corporate finance, banking or audit, including five (5) years’ direct experience in corporate finance or the capital market; technical knowledge of the CIS industry will be an advantage
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage teams, lead projects and work independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
