Assistant Manager/Manager, Market Surveillance

Your role is:

To organise and carry out appropriate surveillance and monitoring activities of equity and derivatives markets towards ensuring fair and order market

You will be accountable for:

  • Conducting real-time surveillance and information gathering on share price/volume movements, indices, market trading behaviour and other related matters
  • Carrying out trend analysis in establishing price/volume patterns and benchmark criteria for alerts
  • Performing analysis on trading activities of market participants, determine any unusual trading activities to ascertain any potential breach of securities law, highlighting irregularities and give appropriate recommendation/action
  • Determining issues to be raised during fact-finding activities and detecting regulatory offences swiftly
  • Managing, tracking and implementing development projects/proposals

You should have:

  • A strong first degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administrations or equivalent professional qualification; a post-graduate degree will be an advantage
  • At least four (4) years’ working experience including exposure to the securities or equity market or related industry
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
