Jason Best is the co-founder and principal of Crowdfund Capital Advisors (CCA).
Alongside Sherwood Neiss, he co-authored the crowdfund investing framework used in the JOBS Act to legalize equity and debt based crowdfunding in the USA. He has provided congressional testimony on crowdfunding and was honored to attend the White House ceremony when President Obama signed the JOBS Act into law on April 5, 2012.Jason also co-founded the crowdfunding industry trade group that works with the Securities and Exchange Commission and FINRA as they create the rules for crowdfund investing. He does work with angel groups, PE/VC firms as well as governments and NGOs, including The World Bank, to understand the crowdfunding ecosystem and create successful crowdfund investing strategies.He was instrumental in the successful effort to have CCA selected by the US State Department’s Global Entrepreneurship Program as a Key Partner.Jason co-founded the UC Berkeley ‘Program for Innovation in Entrepreneurial and Social Finance’ and is also an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at UC Berkeley’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology. Prior to his work in crowdfund investing, Jason was a successful healthcare technology entrepreneur with 2 companies in San Francisco, California.
Kieran Garvey is the Business Development Manager for Crowdcube UK.Crowdcube is the world’s first and leading equity crowdfunding platform. Crowdcube now also offers mini-bonds for larger, growing and more established businesses, enabling them to borrow directly from their customers and supporters.Kieran is responsible for sourcing entrepreneurs seeking finance and building strategic partnerships within the startup and SME community. Prior to this, he worked with the UK Crowdfunding Association managing the day-to-day operations.He was also the Parliamentary Crowdfunding Advisor for the office of MP Barry Sheerman and helped establish the All Party Political Group on Crowdfunding and Non-Bank Finance. Kieran has also worked with Trillion Fund which is a leading renewable energy crowdfunding platform. Before this, he established Bloom Microventures in Northern Vietnam combining microfinance with ethical tourism, serving disadvantaged communities.
Khailee Ng built and sold 2 companies in his 4 year career as an entrepreneur: GroupsMore (acquired by Groupon US) and SAYS.com (merged with Catcha Group). He proceeded to angel invest in startups, making investments in the US and Southeast Asia before becoming an EIR at 500 Startups.He is now a Venture Partner at Dave McClure’s 500 Startups, overseeing a US$10 Million Southeast Asian focused fund, investing in the next generation of Southeast Asia’s most promising startups.
Dinesh Nair is the Director of Developer and Platform Evangelism (DPE) for Microsoft since 2012. He leads Microsoft’s effort to introduce, evangelize and show how Microsoft innovations can positively transform Malaysian education, businesses and lives. Lee Ching Wei is the group chief executive officer and co-founder of iMoney, a price comparison website for Malaysians which has just successfully raised US$2million in Singapore recently.Ching Wei completed a bachelor of commerce, majoring in finance and accounting in Melbourne. Finance and particularly investment has always fascinated Ching, who ended up working as a financial advisor as his first job out of university, where he advised high net worth clients on personal financing. Ching moved on to investment consulting a year later offering investment advice to clients with large pension funds ranging from $500 million to $30 billion.
Aaron Gill  is the co-founder and head of products for MyTeksi, the taxi-booking mobile phone app from Malaysia.MyTeksi had very recently raised more than US$15 million (RM48.3 million) in a Series B funding. The round was led by Silicon Valley-based GGV Capital with participation from new investor Qunar and Vertex Venture Holdings (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Holding) who previously led the company’s Series A round.

Dash is an alumni of the US State Department’s prestigious IVLP program in Entrepreneurship. He is also on the Global Advisory Board of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) under the auspices of the Kauffman Foundation.

Dash was instrumental in bringing the Founder Institute,a Silicon Valley based accelerator program to Perth, Western Australia and was a Co-Director in 2013. He is now on a sabbatical from the position. Dash is educated both in Edinburgh Business School and the University of Cambridge.

Mouna Aouri Langendorf is the founder and CEO of Woomentum, a social entrerprise based in Singapore.Born and raised in Tunisia, the Jewel ofNorth Africa and the leading liberal country in the Arab world, she graduated and started her career as a Bridge engineer in Tunis. At the age of 25, the Japanese government awarded Mouna a scholarship to pursue her Masters in Urban Engineering at Ibaraki University. This begun a wonderful seven-year adventure in Japan, which has become very close to her heart. Ari is an angel investor and venture capitalist. He is the the founder of Lagoon Capital investment company. Ari has been a successful technology entrepreneur 20 years and a business angel for 10 years. He developed his company Komartek into an international success story. Komartek was bought in 2004 by WM-data (presently CGI). His position in WM-data was Vice President.Within the last 10 years, Ari has made angel investments in 22 companies in which all investment rounds total up to 77. These include SkySQL, DealDash, Paytrail, Web of Trust (WOT), SafelyLocked, In4mo, 360Cities and Citysocializer. From the above mentioned investments, he has had two successful exits from Severa and The Switch. Zaman Ahmad is currently the Managing Director of Endeavor Malaysia, a non-profit organisation that creates High Impact Entrepreneurs. Previously he was the CEO of the CaterhamJet Malaysia project since April 2013. He built his wealth of aviation experience during his tenure with AirAsia, the regional low-cost airline carrier, which began in September 2010. He held various positions in AirAsia including the Regional Head of Customer Experience where he led the front line customer service staff of the AirAsia Group across 5 countries. Before AirAsia he served with the Malaysian national petroleum giant PETRONAS for 13 years. Among Zaman’s achievements in PETRONAS was his 5-year involvement from 2000 – 2005 as Electronic Systems Engineer for Team Sauber PETRONAS F1 race team based in Hinwil, Switzerland, Electronic Systems Engineer for the PETRONAS OPEL Touring Car Team in Port Elizabeth South Africa from 1999 – 2000 and as the Senior Manager of the Frontier Technology Unit, Research & Technology Division focusing on Renewable Energy and Upstream Technology. His last position in PETRONAS was as Head of Technical Services at PETRONAS Ammonia in Terengganu, Malaysia. Kamarulzaman graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) (Honours) degree in Electrical and Electronics from Imperial College, London, United Kingdom. Apart from English and Bahasa Malaysia, he also speaks conversational level German.
Aravind is an entrepreneurial manager with over 25 years of International Business experience, covering UK, Middle East, West Africa and Asia. He is an active Business Angel and plays hands on role in mentoring start ups. He leads the team at Mercatus Capital in identifying potential investment opportunities and securing Angel and Series A Investments for promising start ups and early stage companies.
