What is FIKRA ACE and Accelerator 2023?
FIKRA ACE is an initiative that aims to enhance the Islamic capital market (ICM) ecosystem by facilitating development of Islamic fintech as enablers through structured approach. FIKRA ACE comprise of three components, namely FIKRA ACE-Accelerator, FIKRA ACE-Circle, FIKRA ACE-Excel.

The FIKRA ACE - Accelerator is a platform for fintech companies to develop innovative solutions that may contribute to the advancement of the Islamic finance, particularly Islamic capital market - through a structured six (6) to eight (8) weeks accelerator programme.
What are the focus areas for the FIKRA Accelerator 2023?
The FIKRA Accelerator aims to help develop solutions and ideas that may contribute to the enhancement of Islamic capital market and Islamic finance. For 2023 cohort, the FIKRA Accelerator will focus on the following areas (but not limited to): Islamic social finance, shariah-compliant Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) and Islamic fund and wealth management.
Is the FIKRA Accelerator 2023 open to individuals?
No, the application is open to registered companies¹ only.
Does my solution need to be based in Malaysia?
No, while your application does not need to be based in Malaysia, it would be useful to consider plans to deploy your solution in Malaysia.

How will the accelerator programme be conducted?
Shortlisted applicants will participate in a 6-8 week virtual accelerator programme with dedicated support and capability training from expert coaches to support the refinement of the proposed solutions. Following the completion of the virtual programmes, top 10 shortlisted participants will be pitching to a panel of judges during Demo Day. Top three winners will be selected from the pitching during Demo Day.
When is the closing date for applications?
4 August 2023, 11.59pm Malaysian time (GMT+8).
Who will select the winner(s) for the FIKRA Accelerator 2023?
Winner(s) will be chosen by a panel of judge comprising representatives from the organiser – Securities Commission Malaysia and FIKRA ACE collaborative partners.
How many winner(s) will be selected?
Up to ten (10) teams will be selected for final pitching during Demo Day. From this, up to three (3) winners will be chosen.
When will the winner(s) be announced?
Winner(s) will be announced by the end of Demo Day during the award presentation ceremony.

A company incorporated and registered with the relevant authority in its home jurisdiction. There is no restriction on the company’s geographical location.
