1) When does the SC require Forest Assessment Reports to be carried out?
Forest Assessment Reports are required in corporate proposals involving valuations of timber concession and forest plantations. A Forest Assessment Report will need to be carried out before the Valuer can proceed with the valuation. The Forest Assessment Report will form part of the valuation report.
2) Who can carry out the Forest Assessment Reports?
Forest Assessment Reports are to be carried out by qualified foresters registered under Institute of Foresters Malaysia (IRIM) as stated under Practice Note 1 of the Guidelines.
3) What is the validity period of the Forest Assessment Reports?
Forest Assessment Reports should not be dated more than 1 year at the date of submission.
