SC to monitor refund of monies to investors following Hextar’s listing withdrawal

The Securities Commission (SC) has been notified by Hextar Holdings Berhad (Hextar) of the company’s withdrawal of its proposed listing on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. Following from the withdrawal, Hextar is required to ensure that application monies are refunded to all applicants. The SC will closely monitor the process to ensure timely and orderly reimbursement of these monies.

All application monies pertaining to Hextar’s listing exercise are currently held in trust accounts. The refund of application monies will be done through Hextar’s principal adviser (AmInvestment Bank Berhad) and the issuing house (Malaysian Issuing House Sdn Bhd).

The SC will review the circumstances surrounding the withdrawal and will pursue appropriate action as may be warranted.
