Your role is to:

Evaluate applications and make recommendations for registration of auditors and develop policies and regulations for the Audit Oversight Board (AOB)

Your accountabilities will be to:

  • Formulate and facilitate the development of registration policies and guidelines in line with industry conditions and needs
  • Evaluate and process assessment applications and make recommendations for new registration and renewal
  • Continually assess and recommend improvements to registration policies and guidelines to ensure relevancy in changing market conditions
  • Engage audit firm/auditors professionally in the course of the registration process to facilitate efficient gathering of information
  • Constantly seek views and interface with industry with a view to expedite and improve registration process
  • Provide legal views on AOB’s registration framework and registration policies
  • Provide response on queries from applicants/request from stakeholders

You should have:

  • A strong first degree in law or an equivalent professional qualification
  • At least eight (8) years’ working experience in legal firm or legal entity
  • Good understanding of commercial practices and corporate developments nationally and internationally
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
