At around 6.20 tonight, the SC building was shaken by a significant tremor. All staff members present were safely evacuated, able to retrieve their vehicles and proceed home.

The cause of the tremor was reportedly a powerful earthquake south of Sumatra, which was said to affect Malaysia and neigbouring countries. Other buildings in the Klang Valley were reported to be affected as well.

Chairman and senior management are aware of the situation. A team from FMS is inspecting the building structure tonight.

So far they have found no sign of any damage and the building is deemed safe to work in. Therefore tomorrow (Thu Oct 1st) will be business as usual.

Please check the SC website periodically in case there are any updates. You can also call the SC hotline (03-6204 8554) for information.
