Financial Action Task Force (FATF)
The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is an inter-governmental body established in 1989 by the Ministers of its Member jurisdictions. The objectives of the FATF are to set standards and promote effective implementation of legal, regulatory and operational measures for combating money laundering, terrorist financing and other related threats to the integrity of the international financial system. The FATF sets the international standards to ensure national authorities can effectively go after illicit funds linked to drugs trafficking, the illicit arms trade, cyber fraud and other serious crimes.

Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG)
Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG) is an inter-governmental organisation which consists of 42 member jurisdictions. The APG’s main objective is to make sure that individual members effectively implement the international standards against money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing related to weapons of mass destruction. The APG produces annual typologies reports on money laundering and terrorist financing techniques to assist governments and other stakeholders to better understand the nature of existing and emerging money laundering and terrorist financing threats. These reports also cover effective strategies to address such threats.
