Overview of Digital Asset Regulations in Malaysia
The Securities Commission (SC) regulates Digital Assets in Malaysia through the Capital Markets & Services (Prescription of Securities) (Digital Currency and Digital Token) Order 2019 which enabled the SC to put in place guidelines to regulate offering and trading of digital assets.
Since the issuance of the Prescription Order, the SC has released the following guidelines to regulate players in the digital asset ecosystem
