About Batik Lestari
Batik Lestari (Sustainable Batik) is an initiative that aims to showcase and promote Malaysian batik’s rich legacy and artistry.

The batik industry is culturally and economically significant to Malaysia, employing thousands of artisans, many from MSMEs in rural areas. These artisans preserve centuries-old techniques while blending tradition with contemporary designs, supporting both our cultural heritage and the livelihoods of many Malaysians, making it an important pillar of our national economy.
Logo Rationale
The logo integrates a stylised hibiscus symbolising Malaysia's national pride and beauty, alongside a flowing form that resembles craftmanship and tradition. The green leaf symbolises nature and sustainability, while the purple and yellow tones evoke creativity and energy. The yellow dots, resembling droplets of was and the hibiscus antenna, are a nod to both the batik-making process and the flower's natural form. The dual symbolism strengthens the connection between nature and tradition. Alongside with the typeface adds a modern artistic touch to the overall design, ensuring a fresh yet culturally rich aesthetic.
Batik Lestari offers a unique opportunity for the capital market and creative industries to collaborate unlocking Malaysian batik’s potential as both an economic driver and cultural ambassador.
