About Lestari

Lestari (Sustainable Arts & Crafts) is an initiative that aims to showcase and promote Malaysia’s rich legacy of creative and artisanal work.

The creative and craft sector is culturally and economically significant to Malaysia, employing thousands of artisans, many from MSMEs in rural areas. These artisans preserve traditional techniques while blending heritage with contemporary designs, supporting both our cultural legacy and the livelihoods of many Malaysians, making it an important pillar of our national economy.

Logo Rationale
The logo integrates a stylised hibiscus symbolising Malaysia's national pride and beauty, alongside a flowing form that resembles craftmanship and tradition. The green leaf symbolises nature and sustainability, while the purple and yellow tones evoke creativity and energy. The yellow dots, resembling droplets of was and the hibiscus antenna, are a nod to both the batik-making process and the flower's natural form. The dual symbolism strengthens the connection between nature and tradition. Alongside with the typeface adds a modern artistic touch to the overall design, ensuring a fresh yet culturally rich aesthetic.

A Global Showcase Through ASEAN 2025
