Technical Note No. 1/2016 - Change of Terminology from “Private Debt Securities” to “Corporate Bonds”

Pursuant to this Technical Note the term “private debt securities” will now be changed to “corporate bonds”, in line with the general practice in the international market.
The change will be applicable to all guidelines and notices issued by the Securities Commission Malaysia.
This change is effective from the date of this Technical Note.
The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) was established on 1 March 1993 under the Securities Commission Act 1993 (SCA). We are a self-funded statutory body entrusted with the responsibility to regulate and develop the Malaysian capital market.
