Exploring New Opportunities in the Capital Market

The Securities Industry Development Centre (SIDC) and the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute (IBFIM) will be jointly organising a two-day seminar on "Islamic Private Debt Securities - Exploring New Opportunities in the Capital Market" on 24 - 25 September 2001.

The seminar will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the Islamic private debt securities (IPDS) market and the policies and guidelines governing IPDS. Issues relating to the Islamic asset-backed securities will also be discussed.

Seminar presenters include representatives from the Securities Commission (SC), legal practitioners, rating agencies, and corporate and Syariah advisors.

The seminar will benefit corporate advisors - arrangers, underwriters, Syariah advisors, bond dealers, institutional investors, compliance officers, legal practitioners, managers/officers of banks and other financial institutions, accountants and auditors, entrepreneurs and corporate leaders, lecturers and researchers, managers/officers of relevant government agencies and other interested parties.

This two-day seminar carries 10 CPE-points which dealer's representatives can accumulate for licence renewal next year.
