The SC offers a comprehensive 12-month programme for fresh graduates who are looking for promising career growth and steep learning curve.

The Model Regulator Programme (MORE@SC) provides a platform for aspiring graduates from various backgrounds to become part of the nation-building force in the capital market.

As a member of MORE@SC, you can benefit from a holistic understanding of the SC’s regulatory functions and mandate by undergoing two rotations to different departments for a duration of six months each. At the end of the programme, you will be absorbed permanently into a department best suited for you as a Senior Executive.

You can expect intellectually stimulating challenges and be inspired to develop your technical knowledge, leadership values, teamwork and interpersonal skills through exciting, hands-on experiences in an inclusive and diverse office setting.

Academic Requirements

A strong first degree* with solid analytical and problem-solving skills. We welcome graduates from Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Studies, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, Islamic Finance and Banking, Languages, Law, Mathematics, Philosophy, Science and Statistics. Those with relevant professional qualifications are also encouraged to apply.

*Minimum Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1) or a CGPA of 3.0 or equivalent for first degree.

Additional Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu.
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • A strong understanding of the capital market is an added advantage.

Internship@SC
Graduate with a First-hand Experience in the Malaysian Capital Market Regulatory Scene

At the SC we provide a hands-on exposure and responsibilities for interns who take away invaluable practical experiences in capital market regulations and a network of new friends and colleagues vital for their eventual entrance into the working field.

In an environment conducive to learning, the SC offers an excellent work environment and work-life balance for interns to learn new knowledge to complement the theoretical lessons they have acquired back in university.

Acceptance standards are rigorous and the optimal period to intern is three months (minimum period is two months). Interns will be attached to a department relevant to their course, skills and experience. Interns will assist the SC officers under their supervisor’s guidance on research, drafting work, analysis work and operational duties.

At the end of the internship, the interns will be required to showcase their work and internship experience to their supervisor and managerial representatives. Interns will receive a comprehensive performance feedback.

Academic Requirements

  • Currently a penultimate or a final year student pursuing a relevant undergraduate degree to the capital market in a top university locally or abroad
  • An academic track record with a minimum of Second Class Upper Honours (2.1) or CGPA 3.0 or equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu
  • Possess very good interpersonal skills
