SC’s Deputy Chief Executive Appointed as Judicial Commissioner

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) today announced that its Deputy Chief Executive Dato’ Ahmad Fairuz Zainol Abidin has completed his contract at the SC and has been appointed as a Judicial Commissioner.
Following this appointment, Dato’ Ahmad Fairuz will leave his position as a Deputy Chief Executive at the SC effective 31 March 2018. 

Dato’ Ahmad Fairuz joined the SC in 2012 as the Executive Director of Enforcement and was appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive in 2016. During his tenure, the SC has successfully secured a number of landmark cases and the SC Chairman Tan Sri Ranjit Ajit Singh thanked Dato’ Ahmad Fairuz for playing a key role in leading and directing the SC’s enforcement efforts. 

Dato’ Ahmad Fairuz’s appointment as a Judicial Commissioner follows several other appointments to the Judiciary from the SC alumni.
