Seminar on personal financial planning for Malaysian women on 9 August

The Securities Industry Development Centre (SIDC), the education and training arm of the Securities Commission, will be organising a special seminar to educate women on how to manage their finances effectively and attain financial security. The Seminar on Personal Financial Planning for Malaysian Women will be held on 9 August 2002 at the Securities Commission building at Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.

The seminar is supported by the Ministry of Women and Family Development and will be officiated by its Minister, Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.

Designed to meet the changing needs and aspirations of today's women, the seminar will provide participants with invaluable knowledge and understanding on how to enhance, manage and protect their financial position effectively. In this regard, the seminar will cover topics on how to avoid common financial mistakes, understand the different types of investment markets as well as risk management.

In addition, seminar participants will also be taught financial management for special circumstances such as death, divorce, polygamy or retirement. The seminar will also touch on estate and insurance planning.
