SC to appeal on Sessions Court acquittal of Repco Low

Kuala Lumpur, 14 November 2006

The Securities Commission (SC) will be recommending to the Public Prosecutor to appeal against the Sessions Court’s decision today to acquit and discharge Low Thiam Hock, also known as Repco Low.

Low Thiam Hock, the executive chairman of Repco Holdings Berhad, was charged in 1999 under section 84(1) of the Securities Industry Act 1983 (SIA) for the manipulation of Repco Holdings Berhad shares.
