Tan Sri Md Nor bin Md Yusof served as the third Executive Chairman of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) from 1 April 2003 to 31 March 2006. A chartered accountant and former CEO of Bank of Commerce (CIMB) and Malaysian Airline System (MAS), he brought extensive commercial and public advisory expertise to the SC.
During his two-year tenure, he drove the implementation of the Capital Market Masterplan 1 (CMP1), elevated corporate governance and boardroom ethics beyond mere compliance, championed CSR integration, and oversaw exchange supervision following Bursa Malaysia’s demutualisation.
