The SC’s AOB held its annual Conversation with Audit Committees of public listed companies (PLCs) over two separate sessions on 17 November and 6 December 2022.
This dialogue series is in line with the SC’s efforts to improve corporate governance in PLCs and increase investors’ confidence in the quality and reliability of audited financial statements. This dialogue series also provides a platform for Audit Committees to raise issue with respect of them discharging their oversight function and share good practices that support audit quality.
The SC’s AOB held its annual dialogue with the leadership and senior partners of the AOB-registered Audit Firms over two separate sessions on 18 August and 9 September 2022.
These dialogue sessions form part of a series of SC events to facilitate continuous engagement with key market players which provides a platform for mutual discussions on the challenges faced by the profession and the regulatory efforts undertaken to promote audit quality. The sessions were also an avenue for the sharing of AOB’s more recent observations, concerns and emerging risks for the upcoming year.
