He is alleged to have abetted Gordon Toh in engaging in an act which operated as a fraud on Multi-code Electronics Industries (M) Berhad (Multi-Code), whereby RM18.1 million was defrauded from Multi-Code, and out of which RM17.5 million was utilized by Gordon Toh to finance the purchase of 11.1 million Multi-Code shares. |
Daniel Wong was charged in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on 9 May 2024. On 4 May 2026, the SC with the written consent of the Public Prosecutor, and pursuant to its powers under section 124(1) of the SIA, issued a compound notice to Daniel Wong. On 12 May 2026, Daniel Wong paid the compound sum of RM750,000. On 18 May 2026, the charge against Daniel Wong was discontinued by the SC under section 254 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The court subsequently acquitted and discharged Daniel Wong. |
