Designers now have until 31 October 2024 to submit their entries.
This extension is in response to overwhelming interest and feedback from the creative community.
The organisers also aim to ensure that every participant has the opportunity to deliver their best work, capturing the essence of Malaysian batik.
Launched on Malaysia Day – 16 September 2024, the Batik Lestari competition aims to celebrate the rich diversity of Malaysian batik while promoting sustainability.
The competition encourages designers to explore eco-friendly materials and sustainability practices and materials in their creation.
Winners will be announced in early December 2024.
