Datuk Siti Hadzar Mohd Ismail Appointed as Chairman of Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) announced today the appointment of Datuk Siti Hadzar Mohd Ismail as the Chairman of Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM).

The appointment will take effect on 24 June 2014, for a period of two years. Datuk Siti Hadzar, who is a public interest director of FIMM since 2011, takes over as a Chairman from Encik Abdul Kadir Kassim.

Datuk Siti Hadzar brings on board a wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors. She was previously the Deputy Secretary General (Policy) of the Ministry of Finance and is currently Chairman of Malaysian Technology Development Corporation, as well as advisor to Deputy Chairman of Khazanah Nasional Bhd.


Datuk Siti Hadzar holds a Bachelor in Analytical Economics from University of Malaya and Masters in Development Economics from Williams College, USA.

FIMM was established in 1993 to develop the investment management industry and promotes unit trusts as the preferred vehicle for investment. It was recognised by the SC in 2011 as a Self-Regulatory Organisation.
