More Than 40 Capital Market Institutions Joining InvestSmart Fest @ Mid Valley from 23-25 September

  • InvestSmart Fest is initiated by the Securities Commission Malaysia, the primary regulator of the RM2.9 trillion Malaysian capital market; 
  • The three-day, free-admission investor education fair will feature diverse investment opportunities from stocks, bonds, unit trusts, private retirement schemes, exchange-traded funds to derivatives and equity crowdfunding.

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) is pleased to announce the 3rd InvestSmart Fest which will be held on 23-25 September at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

The three-day investor education fair will feature more than 40 capital market institutions to jointly educate and encourage the public to “Invest the Smart Way”. Co-organised by the Securities Industry Development Corporation, InvestSmart Fest is a centralised platform for investors to learn more about the diverse investment opportunities in the Malaysian capital market, and how to invest wisely and responsibly.

The annual InvestSmart Fest will showcase a variety of products and services including stocks, unit trust, bonds, derivatives, exchange-traded funds and private retirement schemes as well as equity crowdfunding. This year’s instalment will also feature authorities and institutions in the financial and capital markets such as Bank Negara Malaysia, the Employees Provident Fund, Bursa Malaysia, Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Center and the Private Pension Administrator.

There will be exhibitions, talk series, exciting challenges and interactive investment games as well as exclusive prizes to be won. In addition, InvestSmart Fest will have sessions on investing in current economic conditions and market outlook by prominent industry speakers. Admission is free.

Launched in 2014, InvestSmart is a comprehensive investment literacy outreach campaign under the SC’s investor empowerment initiative to enable confident and informed retail investor participation in the capital market.
