The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) are pleased to present the ‘SC-UiTM Contemporary Art Show’ which aims to promote local artists, as well as to raise funds for Tabung Mengubah Destini Anak Bangsa, UiTM.

The event, initiated by Galeri Seni Tuanku Nur Zahirah (GESTURZ) of UiTM and the SC, is part of the ongoing corporate social responsibility activities undertaken by the SC to support local art as well as to nurture young talent in the country. The proceeds from the sale of artworks will be channelled to UiTM’s Tabung Mengubah Destini Anak Bangsa, which is set up to assist the underprivileged SPM graduates to further their studies in UiTM.

The exhibition includes works by 22 local artists namely Awang Damit Ahmad, Suzlee Ibrahim, Kalsom Muda, Jamil Mat Isa, Khalil Amran, Ruzaika Omar Basaree, Faizal Suhif, Alias Yusoff, Jamil Zakaria, Azman Hilmi, Farif Jalil, Rose Dahlina, Nik Ridzuan, Safwan Ahmad, Hashim Hassan, Fadilah Abdullah, Khairul Zikri, Mumtaz Mokhtar, Nadya A. Kamal, Noriza Arzain, Shaydenaim and Rizal Salleh, all of whom are alumnies of the Faculty of Art & Design, UiTM.

Members of the public are welcomed to view the artworks at the exhibition which will take place at the SC Building, Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. Come and be inspired! Admission is free for the four day event which starts on Monday, 29 October 2012.
