SC Roadshow to Johor Bahru

In its mission to promote and regulate fair, efficient, secure and transparent securities and futures markets in Malaysia, Securities Commission (SC) will be embarking on its educational tour to the Southern state of Johor on July 13, 1996. The roadshow will take place in Hyatt Regency Hotel, Johor Bahru and is opened to the public free of charge.

The SC Chairman, Dato’ Dr. Mohd. Munir Abdul Majid will lead his management team on this educational tour to meet and address a wide spectrum of the public, ranging from stockbrokers to retail investors.

The objectives of this road show are to develop a strong and knowledgeable investor base; inform the public of the need for deep, liquid and efficient markets; create awareness of the variety of products available to meet different financing needs as well as risk profiles.

The roadshow will carry the following topics:

  • Role and functions of SC
  • Going Public
  • Corporate Disclosure
  • Asset Management In Malaysia - Issues & Challenges

From time to time, SC will continue to develop as well as to enhance similar educational programme to reach out to other market players within the country.
