Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) are collaborating to develop the Malaysia Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance (“Malaysia Taxonomy”). This document follows earlier efforts to develop principle-based taxonomy frameworks, namely the Climate Change and Principle-based Taxonomy (CCPT) and the principle-based Sustainable and Responsible Investments Taxonomy (SRI Taxonomy).
The Joint Committee on Climate Change (JC3) held its 16th meeting on 29 January 2026 to review ongoing progress and set strategic priorities for 2026.
