Shariah Compliance Review For Pre-IPO Securities

At pre-IPO stage, prospective issuer may apply to the SC for review of its securities to be classified as Shariah-compliant by the SAC. The Shariah-compliant status accorded to the securities of the prospective issuer may be disclosed in the prospectus during the offering period, subject to the prospective issuer’s discretion.

  • How to Apply?

    • The application for review of pre-IPO securities must be made through the applicant’s corporate adviser and submitted to:
      Head

      Securities Commission Malaysia
      3, Persiaran Bukit Kiara
      50490 Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur

    • In addition to the submission of a hard copy of the application documents, an electronic copy of such documents must be submitted to the SC via email in the following manner:
      • Documents must be in a text searchable Portable Document Format (PDF);
      • The PDF-text files must be in a readable and proper condition; and
      • In a size of up to 10 MB per email to [email protected]
